Every year the United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley hosts its annual meeting, to thank all of its volunteers, to recognize the important work done by its member agencies, and to have some fun. This year the United Way recognized Dr. Cheryl Thompson-Stacy as Volunteer of the Year, Handley High School Senior, Matt Matsenov as the Youth Volunteer of the Year. Out-going Campaign Chair, Susan Brooks, was proud to announce that in 2017 we were able to raise one million, one hundred thousand, and fifty-one dollars! Every year they play games and this year it was "Are You Smarter Than A Board Member?" which is why Chris was dressed as Jeff Foxworthy.
