Ever Tried A "Deconstructed Avocado Toast Bowl?"

A restaurant in California is getting trolled on the Internet for its latest menu item, the “Deconstructed Avocado Toast Bowl.” What's that?

  • Avocado and cherry tomatoes tossed in honey lime vinaigrette
  • Seven grain croutons
  • Hard-boiled egg
  • All on a bed of farro, crisp apple and kale

You know, A SALAD.

And once Twitter user Kara Swisher stumbled across the "bowl" from an unnamed shop in Venice Beach, California. She posted a pic of the ad for the offering writing, “Okay now California trends are just f***ing with me."

At least one was quick to defend the state tweeting, “Third generation Californian here: that is not a California trend.

While the price of the bowl had not been disclosed in Swisher’s tweet, one user believes the bowl is just a marketing tool to hike up the price of the salad (duh). They figure by calling it a “bowl” they can sell it for a higher price than a salad.
