4/1-30 Winchester's 2019 Dog Licenses Available

Dog Tags

All dogs four months and older that are located in the city of Winchester are required to wear a dog tag. Tags for each year go on sale April 1st and must be displayed on the dog by May 1st. The Treasurer’s Office has mailed dog license renewal applications to dog owners that are currently in the system (over 2,400 dogs). New residents must license their pets within 30 days of moving to the City of Winchester.

Dog tags will help identify pets in the case they are lost and picked up by Animal Control. Therefore, dog tags must be securely fastened to the dog’s collar whenever the pet is outside, even on the dog owner’s property.

Cameron Street (main floor) or online atwww.winchesterva.gov/treasurer.The annual license fee is $8.00 per dog or $4.00 for dogs that are spayed or neutered. Proof of the pet’s spay/neuter is required.
