Can you believe that the McDonald's Happy Meal is 40 years old?! Well, it's true! And to celebrate four decades of deliciousness, McDonald's is going to release limited-edition Surprise Happy Meals with beloved throwback toys!
No matter your age, you know the best part of getting a Happy Meal is the excitement of seeing what toy you get! Get ready to feel nostalgic because some of the returning toys include mini Beanie Babies, Hello Kitty, Changeables, and the Disney 100 Years of Magic collection.
This is such exciting news! I remember kids wanting to collect all of these toys. Some of them are so rare that they're now being auctioned off on eBay and other sites.
Since the Happy Meal is such a staple to the fast food chain restaurant's menu, it will also be revamped. A spokesperson said "After first being introduced in 1979, the Happy Meal quickly became a way for families around the world to create feel-good memories with one another. We’re also making exciting changes to the Happy Meal that parents can feel good about."
Starting in 2020, McDonald's is going to offer reduced sugar low fat chocolate milk. It has 25% less sugar compared to their previous version.
Starting November 7th, The Surprise Happy Meal will be offered in over 90 countries at participating restaurants.
