Entire Class Of Georgia State Troopers Gets Fired For Cheating

The Georgia Department of Public Safety says it fired an entire class of State Troopers after discovering they all cheated on the entrance exam.

The 30 troopers all graduated from the same academy training class last August. Yesterday, DPS Commissioner Colonel Mark McDonough described the results of the internal investigation as a punch in the gut. He said the cheating runs counter to the goal of producing officers the public can trust.

More than a hundred cases the troopers were involved in have been flagged for review by courts across the state. That includes 133 speeding tickets written up.
