Olympic Torch Lighting Will Have No Crowd

Tokyo has opted to make its first change to the Summer Olympics because of the coronavirus.

This year's Olympic torch lighting ceremony will have no spectators in an effort to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The event will still go on Thursday in the ancient Greek village of Olympia, before it travels the globe ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.

Typically, thousands of visitors fill the timeworn stadium to watch. The dress rehearsal, which is tomorrow, is typically open to the public, but that too is not.
