Ray Minter is asking the city of San Jose to do something after his home has been hit by speeding drivers 23 times over the last 50 years. He thinks it’s because of an off-ramp from an interstate highway that was built in 1972 that leads to his street. His insurance company spent almost $30k to put steel poles in his yard, but the crashes keep happening…including one where his niece was hit by one of the vehicles. The city says it has no authority to modify the off-ramp and has applied for a grant to work on the problem but for now, they’re just encouraging drivers to slow down.
