A police chase was made much easier by a suspect’s lack of attention to detail. The California Highway Patrol was chasing a stolen white car on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino yesterday but had to back off because of the high speed the car was going. Then the car slowed down and came to a sputtering stop. It had run out of gas. Police caught up to the car, but the suspect took off and went to a 7-Eleven for a sports drink. He was eventually nabbed.
