HBO Max is reportedly planning a reboot of "Harry Potter"...as a TV series. Talks are still in the preliminary stages, but the idea is for each season to cover one of the "Harry Potter" books.
Variety was first to report the news, and it is suggested that J.K. Rowling could have a degree of creative involvement, but she would not serve as the showrunner. The plan is apparently in very early stages, but further detailscould come out on April 12th at an event set to discuss the future of HBO Max & Discovery+.
That said, no actual comment or confirmation of this potential reboot has come from HBO Max at this time.
