An elementary school is going in the Guinness World Records books after assembling the world's longest friendship bracelet. Valley Creek Elementary School in McKinney, Texas got to work on the bracelet on November 7th and finished it March 3rd.
The enormous feat stretches 2,795 feet by 9 inches and reflects the colors of the middle school and high school that Valley Creek feeds into, which are blue, yellow, and white. In order to make it official, the bracelet was laid out on a nearby football field and measured by Underwood Drafting and Surveying. The last bracelet to hold the record was 2,166 feet by 11 inches.
