WinFred MPO seeks opinions regarding public transportation

The Winchester-Frederick County Metropolitan Planning Organization (WinFred MPO) seeks opinions regarding public transportation.

The Winchester-Frederick County Metropolitan Planning Organization (WInFred MPO) is studying the feasibility of offering and improving public transportation within the MPO area, which includes the City of Winchester, the Town of Stephens City, and nearby areas of Frederick County.

A survey has been made available to help the WinFred MPO learn what public transportation priorities are most important for area residents. The survey is accessible through the following links and QR codes. Surveys are available in English and in Spanish. Visit www.winfredmpo.org for more information on the study.

Frederick County Planning Department, 107 N. Kent Street, Winchester, VA

This survey is part of the data collection effort for a Transit Feasibility Study that is currently underway in the MPO area. The purpose of the study is to develop potential public service strategies that could be implemented in the region.

A draft of the Transit Feasibility Study is scheduled to be completed by early 2024.
