Megan Moroney Touring With - And Learning From - Brooks & Dunn

You'd have to put Megan Moroney on the short list of fast-rising country stars in 2023 - but she recognizes she has a lot to learn and has been put in position to learn from the best. Opening for Brooks & Dunn on their REBOOT tour, the country newcomer saw early on the opportunity to get a crash course on how to be a country star.

"Well, they’re legends, so I’ve been going and watching the show every night. I’m so excited to see it every night," she says. "And it’s just, these are arenas so [they’re] really big, which has been…I’m finally getting used to it. At first it was a little intimidating, but now I’m getting more comfortable and it’s just crazy to even say that. LIke, oh yeah, I’m touring with Brooks & Dunn. Like, what?"

Recognizing the chance she has to learn from those that have hit the very top of country music, Megan went on, "They’re just great performers. The first show that I saw (them) was the first night that was in Kansas City the first night of the tour. And I was like, 'they’ve won Entertainer of the Year several times, right?' I was like, ok, just making that clear."

She also had the opportunity to join the legendary country duo on stage - check out Megan filling in for Reba McEntire on the B&D/Reba classic, "Cowgirls Don't Cry."
