Woman Goes Viral For Life Advice Ahead Of Her 100th Birthday

Some senior citizens struggle with technology, but not Mildred Kirschenbaum. She’ll be turning 100 in August and she lives alone, still drives, pays her bills online, texts friends and family from her iPhone. She’s not just tech savvy, the Boca Raton, Florida, resident is also sharing her advice for living a long and active life in a series of videos on TikTok and Instagram.

For Mildred, attitude is everything. She says you need to enjoy life and those who have a negative attitude and complain all the time won’t get to live as long as she has. She credits her positive attitude for getting her this far in life and she believes one key to longevity is getting out and about to be social. She plays cards to keep her mind sharp and stay connected, and she loves to go to happy hour at her community clubhouse or a favorite local spot.

"You’re only walking through it once," Mildred explains. "If you're up there in years, do yourself — not your children, not your friends, not your world — yourself, a favor: Enjoy everything.”
