7-Eleven Celebrates Its 96th Birthday With Free Slurpees

7-Eleven was the world’s first convenience store, founded in 1927, and has grown to 83,000 locations in 19 countries, and there are other firsts for the chain as well. They were the first to sell gas, the first to sell coffee in to-go cups, and the first to have a self-service soda fountain. Their 96th birthday is a big deal and they are offering customers free small Slurpees to celebrate on their annual Slurpee Day, July 11.

Anyone that comes into a 7-Eleven on July 11 gets a free small Slurpee but if you’re a 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards member you can get an extra free Slurpee from July 1 through July 10. You can get another free Slurpee if you order 7NOW delivery on July 8.

Marissa Jarratt, 7-Eleven’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer said “This Slurpee Day we’re multiplying the fun by giving our customers three opportunities to enjoy their favorite frozen drink for free” and “No matter what your flow is, we have a Slurpee flavor to match, so come enjoy yours this Slurpee Day.”

In addition to the free Slurpees, loyalty members can get $1 off foods including the Big Bite Hot Dog, $1 pizza slice and the $1STUFDCAKE starting July 1.
