‘The Voice’ Announces Dan + Shay as First-Ever Coaching Duo

Big news coming from the world of "The Voice." Country duo Dan + Shay are being brought on board for Season 25 as the show's first ever coaching duo! The GRAMMY Award winning pair are no strangers to the singing competition; they served as "battle advisors" to Team Blake and Blake Shelton back in Season 20.

With Blake leaving the show at the end of Season 23, producers took the opportunity to do some revamping. The first move was to hire country legend Reba McEntire to replace Shelton to head what will now be "Team Reba." Bringing Dan + Shay back to the show is another significant move - and yesterday, the show announced that not only will Reba have her own team in Season 24 - she's been signed for Season 25 already!

To clarify, this news will not affect the upcoming season (Season 24) of the singing competition, which is set to air in the fall. It has already been announced that the next lineup of coaches will include returning members Gwen StefaniNiall Horan, and John Legend as well Reba. Season 24 is set to premiere this fall and will air on Mondays (8/7c) and Tuesdays (9/8c). The show will also stream the next day on Peacock.
