Woman Sues Chopt Restaurant After Finger Piece Was Found In Her Salad

There’s nothing like a good salad… unless one of the ingredients is a body part. A Connecticut woman is suing the salad chain Chopt, claiming she found part of a finger in her salad at the company's Mount Kisco location. A lawsuit filed in state Supreme Court in Westchester County alleges that in April, Allison Cozzi realized she was chewing on a portion of a human finger that had been mixed into the salad. It turns out the manager lost the piece of finger while chopping arugula. Cozzi claims she has suffered a number of complications as a result, including shock, panic attacks, traumatic stress, nausea and neck and shoulder pain and is seeking unspecified monetary damages.
