It's hard to believe now, but back in 2013 Chris Stapleton was a virtual unknown, recognized in Nashville writer's circles and that was about it. His first single, "What Are You Listening To?", came out in 2013 and flopped. The album that was supposed to contain the song was scrapped, and it would be Stapleton's next effort, his debut album "Traveller," that would put him on the road to superstardom.
In the decade that followed Stapleton's first failed single, fans and fellow musicians are revisiting some of his early work. One fellow musician - and fan - is Megan Moroney. Megan's been performing the early Stapleton track in concert, and even though her current single "I'm Not Pretty" is gaining momentum on the country charts, fans probably won't object to some bonus Megan Moroney music, as she's released a proper studio version of the forgotten Stapleton tune.
