60-Foot Sinkhole Opens Up In Front Of Florida Home

Look out below…A sinkhole in Tampa, Florida opened up in someone’s front yard Saturday. Resident Kyle Austin says, “Our neighbor woke us up around eight, told us there was a big hole in our front yard, went out and looked, and it’s about a 60-foot drop down in our front yard.”

According to Polk County Fire Rescue on social media, the hole was about 15 feet wide and 60 feet deep. “I am very nervous about having two kids being that close to a sinkhole and like 30 feet from their room,” Austin said. As the hole sits back a bit in the yard, officials say the street is still currently open to drivers.
