Netflix To Stream WWE Monday Night Raw Starting Next Year

No one had this on their 2024 bingo card. Netflix announced this morning that it has a deal to stream WWE’s flagship “Monday Night Raw” program starting next year. The streamer’s first major attempt at live sports programming is a 10-year deal valued at over $5-billion. “RAW” has been the top program in the ratings for USA network, pulling in 17.5-million unique viewers per year, and the Netflix deal gives the wrestling show a shot at Netflix’s 250-million subscribers. In a separate announcement this morning, WWE’s parent company TKO Group Holdings announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is joining the company’s board of directors. The two announcements made TKO’s stock jump 10-percent in premarket trading today.
