Golden Retriever Named “Chief Dog Officer” On World’s Largest Cruise Ship

Royal Caribbean has appointed a six-month-old golden retriever named Rover as the "Chief Dog Officer" on their new ship, the Icon of the Seas, making her an integral part of the crew. Rover's role is to spread joy among crew members and guests, and she’s preparing for her duties with daily walks alongside her handler, Alison Hubble, and Captain Henrik Loy. The Icon of the Seas, measuring almost 12-hundred feet, offers ample space for the pup, who has already become a favorite among everyone on board. In addition to her onboard duties, Rover will also be able explore various Caribbean destinations and Royal Caribbean’s private island when the ship first sets sail January 27th.
