Goodwill Calls Cops After Donated Paperweight Ends Up Being A WWII Grenade

As a general rule, donating hand grenades to your local Goodwill store is frowned upon. An Abbotsford, Canada Goodwill location was forced to call 911 when someone came in with the donation of a paperweight. It turns out, however, that the paperweight in question was really a WWII-era hand grenade. “Out of an abundance of caution,” police evacuated the store while an explosive disposal unit did its thing. It turns out the grenade was a “dummy,” and the person who donated it did so by accident…and had been using it as a “paperweight” all this time.
