A Purse Made From Air Debuts At New York Fashion Week

A purse made from thin air just blew minds at Paris Fashion Week with their Air Swipe bag by Coperni. Created in collaboration with NASA, this see-through wonder is 99% air and 1% glass, weighing as much as a standard lightbulb. It's basically like carrying a cloud! The magic ingredient is silica aerogel, NASA's go-to for stardust-catching.

Sébastien Meyer, Coperni's co-founder, called it “scientific, but poetic,” while Arnaud Vaillant says it's “magical, like a cloud.” This purse took 15 prototypes to nail, and despite its delicate appearance, it can even hold an iPhone. Coperni's known for pushing fashion boundaries as the last headline they made was Bella Hadid's airbrushed dress.
