It’s been a long time problem, but American workers are still not taking sick days. Yahoo News/YouGov poll shows nine-percent of workers never take sick days and three-percent do not have the option. The poll also shows 6-percent say they typically take “1 or 2” sick days a year, 12-percent say they take “a few” and 4-percent say they take “more than a few.” Why don’t workers take sick days? Some say they rarely get sick while others say they get pressured by managers not to take the time. Experts say when you are sick, take the time or you will increase your stress and heal slower.
