Millions of Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods laundry detergent packets are being recalled due to a risk of serious injury. The recall, involving approximately 8.2 million bags, was announced by Procter & Gamble and the Consumer Product Safety Commission due to the bags potentially splitting open and posing a risk especially to children if ingested. The affected products, manufactured between September 2023 and February 2024, were sold in various retail and online stores. Consumers in possession of the recalled products are advised to contact Procter & Gamble for a refund and replacement, and can also request a child-resistant bag for safer storage.
