Time Capsule From 1920 Found During Demolition Of Old High School

In Owatonna, Minnesota, a small community outside of Minneapolis, history enthusiasts gathered recently as a century-old time capsule was opened after being uncovered earlier this year during the demolition of the town’s old high school building. The time capsule was fortunately spotted by the school's director of facilities, Bob Olson, who immediately recognized its significance and halted demolition. Hidden beneath a 1920s-era cornerstone, the capsule contained various historical items such as an Army roster from 1905, newspapers, coins, and important documents; each giving a glimpse into the local history and traditions of the early 20th century.
