There are very few things more devastating than losing a pet. Our dogs are part of our family. So when a fur baby runs away and gets lost it's really hard!
When U.S. Army Sergeant Dahlberg and her family realized their family dog, Ginger, was lost, they were extremely upset. They loved Ginger like a member of the family and loosing her was heartbreaking.
But, Sergeant Dahlberg refused to give up the search. She continually searched their area and stayed in touch with the local animal shelters.
Fortunately, her efforts paid off. Weeks after Ginger was lost, the family found her on the Front Street Animal Shelter’s website. The shelter is based in Sacramento, California and makes a point to post photos of dogs they find online.
