Even though he was suffering serious burns, 12-year-old Seth Cutright still managed to carry his grandmother out of their burning house.
Seth and his grandmother were watching T.V in their home in
The flame ignited a blaze caused by a propane gas leak that had filled up the room.
Seth told reporters that he had noticed the smell once before but couldn’t tell what it was.
He said, “”My grandma was on fire, then when I was walking, it went out. I carried her outside and set her on the ground. I went to the next door neighbor’s and said call the ambulance.”
Seth and his grandmother both suffered serious burns, but both are expected to make a full recovery. And some good news is his doctors have said they don’t believe that the boy will be left with any scars.
Their home was destroyed by the fire… it took fire fighters 3 hours to extinguish. The Red Cross is helping them find new housing, and The family is so very proud of their young hero.
