Q102 listener Dave Stoll has now completed his second trip to Long Island, hauling an even more full trailer of supplies generously donated by YOU...all to help people hit so hard by hurricane Sandy.

Here's what Dave wrote:

We made it home safe. Just walked in the door just about 30 minutes ago. It is going to take me a bit to get the pictures off three different camera phones and my DSLR. Probably by tomorrow night I will have them sorted out. Thanks for all your support and helping get the word out. The local residents were VERY happy to see us again. Some of the volunteers at the Long Beach ice rink remembered us from the Tuesday run. I expect that at least one or two more loads up is a possibility, but I need to attend to some things, especially with regard to my health. In the mean time, I can collect goods here at my house and have no problem sharing the address.

I posted before we left, but the net weight of goods was 7,340 pounds on this trip. We collected over $1,200 in cash. I took $500  for fuel and expenses which worked out perfect. After I pay off the EZ-Pass we will only have a couple dollars left. The remaining $700 we used to purchase goods and put them in the trailer. Someone even stopped by and donated a 3" gasoline-powered pump. We gave that to the Long Beach PD. They will be using it to pump basements.

God bless all of you and thanks!

This is such a great example of the generosity you find here in Shenandoah Country...THANK YOU for donating, and THANK YOU DAVE!!
