The family of little 6-yr old Noah Pozner was mourning him, after he was killed in the Newtown school massacre, when their grief was compounded by outrage.
Scammers, preying on your sympathy, are trying to steal money you might have given, intended for the victims' families.
So the deal is that someone they didn't know was soliciting donations in Noah's memory. the person(s) claimed that they'd send any cards, packages and/or money collected to his parents and siblings. An official-looking website had even been set up, with Noah's name as the address. It even included petitions on gun control.
Noah's uncle & aunt are speaking out for the families:
"These scammers," he said, "are stealing from the families of victims of this horrible tragedy.""It's abominable,""It's just the lowest kind of thievery."
Bottom line: Do not believe what you see on FB, and don't give to unsolicited emails, ever.
