Let's hear it for parents who are doing it right, like the ones raising young James Persyn III, a 14-year-old from Lincoln, MI.
He saved the life of a Central Michigan University student after her attacker chased her to the Persyn residence in an attempt to kill her.
The attacker, Eric Ramsey, 30, had abducted her, raped her, and then tried to drive her to a separate location to kill her. Thankfully, she managed to jump from his SUV and found safety at the Persyn’s home.
Young James thought quick...he grabbed his hunting knife, locked his siblings and the victim in the rear bathroom, and stood in behind the door preparing for the absolute worst...all while the rapist was pounding violently, desperately, trying to break it down.
Police were called and got to the scene as the rapist took off, leadign them on a lengthy chase that ultimately led to Ramsey’s death.
The victim was treated for her injuries, and is now safe with her family, very grateful to the brave young man who defended her.
