
Patsy Cline Week of Tributes in Memoriam: March 5-10, 2013
The Patsy Cline Historic House will open daily to the public for tours from Tuesday, March 5 through Saturday, March 9
Tours are every half-hour between 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm (last tour starts at 3:30pm). The Patsy Cline Historic House is located at 608 South Kent Street in Winchester’s historic district. Admission is $8.00 General, $6.00 Senior Citizens, and Active Military will be free. Special arrangements are required for groups of ten or more. The Patsy Cline Historic House is usually closed the entire month of March and is open especially for this week of tributes.
A Celebration of Life event will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the George Washington Hotel in the Half-Note Lounge.
A tribute reception with special music featuring Liz Ruffner, a local Patsy Cline tribute singer, is open to everyone who would like to join us Beverages and appetizers will be available for purchase. Admission is free. The George Washington Hotel is located at 103 East Piccadilly Street in downtown Winchester.
In remembrance of Patsy Cline’s life, a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 3:00pm at Omps Funeral Home – South Chapel.
The service is open to the public and will be held indoors with plenty of seating available. Reflections of Patsy Cline will be made by people who knew her and by people whose lives her story and her music have touched. After the service, those attending will gather together at Patsy’s interment site to pay homage. Omps Funeral Home – South Chapel and Shenandoah Memorial Park are located at 1260 Front Royal Pike, on Route 522 just south of Winchester.
